After an extremely busy week at work, I was seeking the perfect fine dining venue that is not pretentious and offers a relaxing yet sophisticated ambiance.
My foodie Guru suggested Teatro which is apparently the favorite of Dubai veteran residents. Now, who can turn down their Guru?
Reservation:
A professional answer to my call followed by a prompt confirmation. Apparently, however, securing a reservation here is difficult especially if you wish to dine over the weekend. Therefore, we recommend booking much in advance.
Parking:
Valet service is offered so come in peace! Make sure you get the valet ticket stamped at the venue.
Greeting & Seating:
As we walked in to the restaurant, we were graciously greeted and offered a variety of options for our dinner table. We chose a cozy corner table with a view of the busy Sheikh Zayed Road.
Knowledge & Service of the server(s):
Considering we were vegetarian, where the options are limited, the server quickly suggested suitable options for us.
Our Order:
As we were two, our order was simple. A bottle of water, burrata for starters, a mushroom soup (an extra bowl was requested so we could share) and a vegetarian green curry for the main course. Delicious & Satisfying!
We did not need to eat more, but our temptations go the better of us. A sizzling brownie was ordered & we did not regret it one bit.
Courtesy extended during the meal:
We were frequently asked throughout our meal if we needed anything else so we felt completely pampered. Service is definitely one of their strong suits.
Food Quality & Taste:
There is a reason that Teatro is popular among Dubai veteran residents! With a variety of options ranging from Japanese and Chinese to Indian and Italian as well as having an action kitchen, this restaurant offers a truly memorable, and satisfying, experience.
Ambiance:
Spot on! The lighting & environment compliments the exquisite fine dining experience making it a convenient option for those seeking an intimate evening.
Price:
Price range is always an opinion based upon one’s appetite for expenditure. The bill came to AED 320 for two people which in our opinion is reasonable considering the fine dining experience that Teatro has to offer. We were informed that a Rotana Rewards card offers a significant discount – perhaps worth obtaining.
Overall would I return?
Without doubt, Yes!
