Since 1889, PAUL Bakery & Restaurant has stayed true to the heritage of French rustic cooking and traditional baking, distinguishing itself for its fine breads baked in the bakeries which are in full view for the customers, and its wide selection of quality French casual dining dishes and mouthwatering desserts.

Visited Paul today for lunch followed by desserts ofcourse.
We ordered the cheese and onion soup, mushroom and chicken pasta and the chicken crépe.
In the start we were served with their complimentary dish of bread slices accompanied with butter and mashed olives. The bread was filled with olive slices and onions and like anyone else I also love the bread and butter combo. What I didn't like tho was the mashed olives. I feel they should have offered some other item other than that as not many people eat olives.
Coming to the starters and main course, we loved every item we ordered off the menu, however my personal favourite was the chicken crépe. I relished and enjoyed every bite. There was a plate of salad accompanying it as well but since im not a fan of salads i didnt really have it. The chicken crépe however was soo warm, cheesy and delicious.
Coming to the pasta, it was creamy and filled with loads of chicken and juicy bacon pieces. The onion soup being one of the best I've had soo far. The cheese dripping off when it was hot was marvelous. All of it still makes me drool. Post lunch we ordered mini macaroons. It included caramel, chocolate, pistachio, mango, raspberry and vanilla flavoured macaroons. I liked the caramel, pistachio and vanilla. They were soft and sweet. I found the raspberry to be very sweet and I didn't like the mango at all.
However I've tasted better macaroons than these but I wasn't really disappointed with it.
Overall it was a good experience and I'm looking forward to coming here for some more food.

The food at Paul is as good as usual. However, the service is the worst that I have ever experienced. We were there one fine weekend. The outlet wasn't busy at all. It all started pretty well until our order being served. This was when we realised the staff have got our order placed wrongly. Get the staff to clarify. Have our oder replaced, but still don't seems right. Get the staff again to make sure is our order. Guess what, still got it wrong. We realised that only when we received our bill at the end of it. The worse part is the way the staff(s) couldn't get bother about it when we asked them the second time. Unbelievable.

The place is nice but the staff could be better.
Try the traditionnal hot chocolate or a cake.
If you fancy it go to eat some quiche, or salade, which are expensive and good.
It's ok to go there if you are already in the place but it doesn't deserve to go to the city centre juste for this cafe restaurant.
