It’s a one of a kind restaurant with good ambience and service. The live music on weekends is absolutely the best. I tried many dishes but the chicken pani puri Would definitely be my favourite.

Located at Al Zomorodah Building, Al Karama. THIS REVIEW ENTIRELY BASED ON FAMILY WITH KIDS.
Ambience is OK
Service and Staff - Quick and Informative.
Loved Ipad Menus. Trendy and Classy.
It being a purely Sheesha lounge was relieved that there were separate sitting for Family with kids. It would have been a good idea that they had accomdated more seating areas for family and the sheesha lounge more of an outdoor activity. So my rating 3.5
When it comes to food presentation was superb and taste was lip-smacking. Definitely would give on that basis 4.5.
Appetisers went for Mini Trio Bun Sliders. Consisting of tri-color buns and also the filling were tri. Creole Spiced bun had nuggets chicken filling which was normal bun. Cream/Off-white bun which was steamed had Chicken Tikka stuffing. Blackened Seasme bun had chicken dumpling stuffing. These were served alongwith Hot Garlic fries. Each bun had its own delectability. Garlic fires were new to taste and yet crispy.
As i love Prawns for main course tried the Tiger Prawn Chimichuri and Fish Amritsari with a Twist. Chimichuri presentation was Hanging Paratta served with Green Jambo prawns, roasted cashew gravy and potato filled pappad roll. Loved the cashew curry of creamy texture which went so well with Swiss roll Paratta that were soft and yet crunchy. Pappad had bhaji potato filling never felt that i was crunching on pappad more like chaat kick. Fish Amritsari used white fish fillet which were indian spiced and fried was laying on a bed of Curry batter and Masala vermicelli. Vermicelli was very light spiced up and kicked the taste buds perfectly. This innovation clubbed very well. Creole Spiced potato were crispy and its dips. Presentation was Made in Heaven Fish.
For desserts went for Devils Island. Strawberry cake filled Blood Bleeding Broken Heart laying on a bed of Choco Walnut White Trifle, Strawberrys, Blueberry, Grapes and Pepper Rainbow Pearls. Live performance with nitrogen smoke, burning the Heart with blow torch to give warm effect and drizzling with Chocolate lava liquid. Pure Delight to witness and devilish kick in Tummy.
Enjoyed the experience and Appetizing. Because of presentation dont feel Quantity for 1 person good enough but sharing not possible.

Smoqoholic is one of the seafood speciality restaurant which serve food with a twist. I love all the dishes with prawns and especially tiger prawns was really yum. We had a seafood trio soup which was great too. Love the ambience and they have separate area for shisha too.

The talk of the town ever since it opened. It's probably been a month and this new restaurant nearly always has a full house. Their secret is pretty simple:

- unique shisha (haven't tried but heard mixed reviews)

-nice seating and Ambience and a trendy vibe with the colorful lights and a non alcoholic bar counter

- great staff with badges that have their name in LED and iPad menus which show the picture of each dish and can get punched in directly

-great location, free parking for upto 2 hrs and a nonsmoking area

-food lives up to its name with funky names for the dish, great flavors and brilliant presentation

- and Lastly great pricing, despite the dishes being that good the food is priced much lower than all the modern and molecular joints which has made them the crowd puller.

We were in a large group which is how I sampled a large number of dishes and the bill for a group of around 15 people came upto AED 1k which is quite fair considering how much we ate.

Now the Negatives:

- there is no Reservation which is really annoying because I followed up with the restaurant for a week cause I didn't want the surprise to get flopped since they don't have enough seating for a big group.

- the Lobster is charged at AED 140 and the portion wasn't as big which was kind of a turn off. Neither was the taste extra ordinary.

- Vegetarian choices aren't as much but I understand it's a seafood restaurant

- the restaurant timings are from 6 pm to 3 am which could be put at the entrance of the restaurant in case of people like me who turn up in the afternoon.

-they didn't mention the parking was free for only 2 hours and there's an hourly charge which keeps increasing every hour.

But clearly the positives outweigh the negatives which is why I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. Some of the dishes that particularly stood out for me were the Tiger Prawn Biryani, Seafood Trio Soup, Shrimp Zagora that comes with the noodles wrapped in a pastry pocket (my favorite), the rock square potato. The Shredded pie, ocean caught mussels, mushroom cheese nuggets, tiger prawn were other good dishes but not as exceptional as the above. Chicken pani puri was a table favorite as there were three more orders, but while the chicken was exceptional the pani puri was kind of dry despite the little amount of chutney squeezed in. We got the Chef mo Lobster European style rather than oriental because it was more of a cream sauce but for the price and the portion it didn't quite do justice. My water melon mojito was great and so were the other drinks ordered at the table except the orange juice which did not taste fresh at all. For desserts we had Break the rules, devil island and ferris wheel. The former two included table presentation. I liked all the desserts to be honest - not exceptional but pretty good, atleast they were value for money. Overall verdict - I guess if you read the review you pretty much know what to do.
