Everything about this place was amazing be it their interiors and decor, food, drinks and service. Really enjoyed the food and even the location of the restaurant is amazing. The food may be a little expensive but it’s worth it.

If you are looking for an extravagant Indian food fare nearby the beach, then Bombay Bungalow is the ultimate choice.
Loved the ambience as it was so soothing and calm with the blue coloured theme. My favourites were guac pani puri and pav bhaji fondue. All foods tasted so great. Service was also top notch.

One of the few Indian restaurants in JBR, replaced/rebranded the previous restaurant House of Curry. The interiors are stunning giving you the whole Indian feel with a modern contemporary touch (psst they even have a framed Indian Monalisa).

This restaurant was on my wish list for quite some time and I finally tried them out for Iftar. Firstly splendid service - very friendly and attentive staff. If you spend AED 75 and above then you can get your parking ticket validated for free for 3 hrs but any time exceeded will be charged at AED 20 per hr. I tried two drinks Champagne of the east and city of gold , both were quite unique never had anything like it before.

The table is pre-set with fruits and dates platter and nuts with mango chutney so that you can break your fast immediately. We started with the lentil soup that was spot on and the bungalow salad that was presented so beautifully. Then came my favourite – the kebab platter that had the hariyali grilled fish tikka (absolutely loved this especially when combined with their passion fruit sauce it’s a match made in heaven), the rest of the items like the grilled prawns, mutton kebabs and chicken tikka were good too but the fish was my favourite.

For the mains there was quite a selection, while the butter chicken was a tad bit too sweet for me the biryani and the veg makhani stole my heart. They’ve managed to nail most of the dishes on the set menu which makes it quite a deal at the price for JBR standards. The desserts are what I look forward to on any set menu. Best part is it’s not just one dessert it’s a platter with mango kulfi, coconut rasmalai and gulab jamun cheesecake. The coconut rasmalai is no doubt one of the best indian desserts I’ve ever had. You can’t take away the food it’s purely dine in but the portions aren’t too overwhelming and the fact that it’s not a buffet gives you the sense of satisfaction that there isn’t much wastage. All in all a great option if you’re looking to dine at JBR.

I went here in the long weekend, and made a reservation 4 days ago. The place was quite packed. They have parking near the Roxy cinemas, basement parking and you get it validated on a min spend of 75 dhs.

I already knew what I had to order, because I had done intensive research on whats good and whats not so good (read 65 reviews, lol) We ordered guac pain puri, zaatar paneer tikka, pav bhaji fondue and the coconut rasmalai. Starting with the guac pain puri, it was different, good different. Even the pani had some guacamole flavour, still retaining the original taste. The zaatar paneer tikka was the only dish not so impressive. The zaatar on the tikka was something very unique, however i felt the beetroot dip did not go well with it, and it would be better with a mint/yoghurt chutney, just the signature way it should be. Moving on to the pav bhaji fondue, it was served with bread cubes and roasted baby potatoes, which was also a good twist. This dish was really heavy. I was recommended by a friend to try the coconut ras malai what so ever. So we tried it. AND TRUST ME, THIS IS THE BEST RASMALAI in town. It was topped with salted caramel, and dusted with crunchy pistachios. The rasmalai was also very well made.

I tried all the veg dishes only, but going to go back and try the non veg soon and update the review :)

Located on the Beach – JBR, it is the only Indian restaurant among wide array of restaurants , We were initially confused on which parking to take, finally with the advice of security personals, we reached the rite basement parking. Just had to mention the security where we are planning to dine in, so they Pointed out which color parking we should take. We parked in green and the restaurant is easily accessible from there with a lift. [ Note :Parking is free only for 3 hour if you wish to save your 75 bucks run before time like we did ]
From outside it looks like a modern restaurant and when gets in, THE GAME CHANGE don’t have any option other than to say WOWW, As the name says.. the look and feel is exactly like an old Indian mansion with so many spectacular antique decors in every nook and corner of BB. It’s a great place for not just foodies… photographers..but also for those who love to see the antique decors. even the outdoor is classy with the stunning view of beach and skyscrapers.

Located at Jumeirah Beach Residence 1, The Beach.
Ambience was Excellent
Service and Staff were quick, informative and timely.
Interiors were Dining at Palace Aura. Historic, Aqua and yet chic settings. Every corner had Maharaja Arts and midas touch. Antiques like old telephone, radio box, flower pots, clock towers, chest of drawers and magic carpet! Very intricate and intriguing.
Ordered Diwali Set menu
At appetisers there were Lentil Soup, Bungalow Salad and Cardomom Flavoured Lassi were served first. Soup as the name suggests were rich in dal and liquid flavoured. Salad had the Bungalow dressing with all the healthy vegetables like asparagus, beetroot, kale, raddish, lettuce, mini samosa with no filling and Carrots. Lassi was sweet, milky and thirst-quencher refresher.
Next in starters were the Vegetable Samosas, Harissa Chicken Tikka and Hariyali Fish Tikka served with the Spicy mint chutney complemented very well. Favourites for the kids were Harissa Chicken tikka and i could not taste it. Vegetable Samosa took back to canteen punjabi samosas and lip-smacking. Hariyali fish Hammour was purely vegetarian flavour.
With these kind of starters tummy was already full and was wondering whether main course could go or not.
Main courses had Burrata Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, Tawa Baingan, Chicken Biryani, Naan and Mushroom Truffle Cottage Cheese Steak. Each dish stood out from each other by taste, Aroma and delectability. Kids enjoyed Naan and Burrata Butter Chicken. Oh yes burrata butter chicken was one of the best I ever had. Soo Burrraataa cheessyy and creamy and Tomatishh and Butterishhh!!! YUMMMIESSTTT
Other dish i loved is the Mushroom Truffle Paneer Steak. Rectangular Paneer sauteed in the pan fresh and lip-smacking and best was mushroom truffle where the mushrooms were finely diced which at first i thought was risotto. Mushroom sooo appetizing and engaging. Tawa Baingan the third favourite had kadai chicken kick to it.
Desserts had Chandrakala with Orange rabri. Every heavy meal has to end with a Sweet note. Indian sweets the best to end the note. Sweet was plated with blueberry puree and crushed pistachio. Did they know those were 2 of my favourite compliments in sweets!
Had an awesome Diwali Dhamaka Lunch and my tummy was the Happiest!
