Restaurant Description
Tucked away in a corner of Al Quoz, TOM & SERG is an expansive warehouse, lovingly reworked into a space that’s both individual and packed with detail.

Gorgeous lighting, exposed brickwork, high ceilings, concrete flooring and a full glass frontage come together to create a bright, clean space that pays homage to its industrial beginnings. The open kitchen and coffee bars remain at the heart of what we do, and stand proud as the focus of our cafe.

Downstairs can hold up to 150 people standing, or 90 seated. Combined with upstairs, the entire cafe can take 400 people standing, or 200 seated.

I visited Tom & Serg yesterday for lunch. Let me start with the parking - there is an open sand lot opposite the restaurant. Not a preferred place to park if you are not driving an SUV, but we had no choice as we were unable to find any other parking. It was a busy restaurant but we were lucky to get seated soon after entering. The decor is very simple with no frills but offered a relaxed and homely atmosphere. As soon as we were seated our server took our order. He was very helpful in providing us with his recommendations. We eventually ordered a single morning after, a chilli garlic spaghetti, a satay chicken, a smoked salmon bagel, scrambled eggs on toast along with a side order of french fries. We also tried their milkshakes. We shared the food amongst four of us. Overall the food was great. I particularly enjoyed the satay chicken and the smoked salmon bagel. The "morning after" was good but I preferred the other main courses. The main course portions were of decent size. I would definitely return!

Tom&Serg - Heard soo much about this place and finally tried it this past weekend. Where should I start from? The buzz/vibe is just great. It was Friday afternoon, and the families were all out here having a good lunch.

We started our meal with the milkshakes and lemonade. Good quantity and super delicious. We tried the double chocolate and the salter caramel milkshake. Wow! The Salted Caramel milkshake was something!!

For the mains, since it was a friday, we had the option to choose from the breakfast menu too. The Scrambled Eggs on toast was what we went for. Well plated with Goat Cheese and mushrooms, the eggs was exactly what I needed to go down in me after a long night! We also ordered the Chicken Satay, which was one of their recommendations, and it was quite a lot and good to share. It came with rice so was quite filling. The special for the day was ALOO GOBI Special. Was an indian dish, with potatoes and cauliflower with indian spices. It was served with Parathas, overall quite tasty.

We ended our meals with the much awaited deserts - Bread & Butter Pudding, Eclair, and a Large cookie. All were super yummy! The Eclair and the Large cookie specially!

Loved Tom&Serg. Looking forward to go there again soon!

Tom & Serg is a great option if you are doing errands around the Al Quoz area. The Chicken Satay and Salmon were but great. There was a broccoli salad under the Salmon that was lightly dressed with lemon juice. It was wonderful.

Just remember they are only open till 4pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends! I had a filter coffee after my meal but wasn't too happy with it. They only had a low-fat milk option. Having skimmed milk would be a must, since it looks like they take their beverages seriously.
Overall it was a good experience for lunch and I would go back for a fresh and healthy meal.
