Restaurant Description
Peppermill is a casual dining restaurant offering Indian cuisine with inventive recipes and alluring flavours to stimulate the palate and gratify the senses. At Peppermill we change the notion that Indian haute cuisine can only be created using age old recipes and ideas. Each element of Peppermill upturns traditional expectations.

We believe that the food like the people should constantly evolve and adapt. Our team creates dishes and menu combining Indian ingredients with local and international produce and Indian cooking techniques with a colonial design template, which produces a distinctive layering of flavours. At Peppermill, we present you with an evolution in contemporary Indian cuisine for those who are seeking to explore beyond the ordinary and discover the full potential of Indian fine dining. We would like to give you a glimpse of some regional classic dishes that were cooked in the royal kitchens served to Maharajas and Emperors of India with contemporary twists and unfettered modern creativity.

This exquisite restaurant is ideal for intimate events and large corporate functions with elegant seating and private dining facilities. We hope you enjoy being pampered with the magic of the past and flavours of the present.

It's a huge area located inside Festival City, overlooking the waterfront promenade. If you visit at night, you'll get to see the wonderful water and light shows displayed at the Festival City Promenade.

As for the food, it's got a touch of modern it terms of presentation perhaps but the food is quite the traditional Indian food you'd want. It's a perfect balance between the two.

We tried their lentil broth and the prawn shorba. Both of which were truly amazing, and can be quite filling as the portion is generous.

For starters, we ordered the chaat platter which consists of Dahi vada, pani puri, palak chaat, samosa with Choley and he tastiest potato we've had. Highly recommend trying this dish. However it can get quite filling as this is quite a big portion and can easily be shared.

For mains, I tried their 'Mushroom Garden' which is a selection of multiple mushrooms cooked differently and I must say it was one of the best things I've had.

Frankly speaking, there isn't a single complaint from my side when it comes to Peppermill.

The staff and service are impeccable. The food is beyond amazing and while the interiors are quite simple, it's a very spacious area and is even better during the winter months when they open the area facing the promenade.

Definitely a place everyone should visit when you want to try out some great Indian food!

Went to dine here on a Thursday night, they don't take reservations. The outdoor seating in this weather is a treat, so pleasant and the view is amazing as well.

We tried the chaat platter for starters. I would say its totally value for money. It was served with 2 samosas with whole, 2 dahi bhallas, crunchy palak chaat, crispy mexican potatoes and 4 pani puris. The pain puris had a little less masala than I would expect, samosas were slightly oily, other than that, the taste was amazing. I loved loved the palak chat and dahi bhallas.

For mains, we tried the chicken tikka masala and dal tadka. Both of these were delicious! Chicken tikka masala could've been more spicy, I still liked it. I ordered cheese naan and butter naan with this (I was recommended by a fried) and it surely was good, just a little heavy.

Service was slow. But ambience and food made up for it! Definitely going back!

Not very often will you come across restaurants that creates an ambience that they have, accompanied with great views, friendly staff & delicious food!
Peppermill has always been on my bucket list, and this friday I decided to take my family here for lunch, as it was my dad's birthday.

I had great expectations and knowing my parents, who are very hard to please in terms of food, instantly fell in love with this place. They were really impressed with everything! So if you've got fussy parents/guests/friends, you know where to take them :D

Chic interiors, great space planning. I like how they've used up their space in terms of seating and the variety of seating options that were there. They also have these private yet open seating room as well, if you want a bit of privacy. However, people passing by can view everything as there's no door to cover it. Nonetheless, a good otion to opt for if you want a lil privacy. Also, the isle created with the semi-open kitchens on one side. So much detailing has gone into designing this restaurant. All of it does add to the ambience as well!

As we were seated, they offered us some chevda to munch on while we were browsing through the menu and not getting over with the outstanding view.

Moving on to the food;
Everything on the menu looked very tempting, thus making me very indecisive. So I went in for the Peppermill 'Gymkhana' Selection, which consists of malai tikka, chicken tikka, korma chaap, salmon pepper tikka, tangra prawns & grilled potatoes accompanied with green chutney. That way I get a bit of everything in one platter. Absolutely loved it! Despite being a bit pricey, I honestly wouldn't mind eating another serving of this platter. Each one was grilled to perfection! The chutney added more flavor to the meats as well. We devoured this one. Loved it and do recommend it!

For our mains we had-

Butter chicken & Garlic Butter Naan - Thankfully not too sweet. It had the right balance of sweet and tangy which made it so delectable! I love the garlic flavor that were emitting from the naan andi it went so well with the butter chicken(Best combo ever!!)

Mutton Biryani- Not very chewy mutton pieces, going perfectly well the biryani rice.

The best part was the dessert platter. Being a dessert-a-holic I honestly couldn't decide on one so I went in for The Sweet Shop. It consisted of 3 desserts in their menu in one platter. Win win again!
The platter had gulab jamuns, coconut cream & pepper corn panacotta and rasmalai. This one was soooo good! Soft, not two sweet gulab jamuns, Loved the panacotta- the flavors go so well with each other. A very well balanced dessert! Spongy, kesari rasmalai, just the way they should be.

In conclusion: Loved the place and definitely gonna visit them more often. However, it is a bit pricey, nonetheless worth everything here!
