I was invited here for a foodie meetup on a weekday by Zomato. I had called the restaurant for directions and they informed me about the paid vallet, however they also told me there was free parking away from the place, walking distance of about five minutes.
They have an outdoor seating and a huge indoor seating area. The staff was extremely welcoming. The ambience of the place was slightly dim, at the same time a very eastern touch to it. I ordered for a lemon mint which was purely average.
For starters, we were served with a variety of mezzes. The presentation all of these deserves a special mention. The fattoush had a wierd kind of taste according to me, very sour, did not like it. The hommous and the mouttabal tasted really good. The warm and freshly baked khaboos complimented the mezzas.
For hot appetizers, my favourite was the batata harra. i almost ate all of the it in the bowl. It came with a candle below the stove which kept it warm throughout. Brilliant idea. The chicken in the mixed kebbeh was average. The ouskan rolls were a little bland, lacked flavour, however after adding tobassco to it, tasted great.
The maincourse came after 45 minutes or something. The chicken shawarma was served like the espitada with fries, fancy presentation, normal in taste. The tiny khaboos, garlic sauce came such that you could place the chicken piece in the bread with garlic sauce and have it yourself. Really really impressive.
For the desserts, we had fruit platter, the usual one. Tried the kunafa for the first time and I did not like it. Theyother foodies had a similar opinion, so I understood that's not how it was supposed to be.
For the few dishes that were amazing, and others which were a slight disappointment, Mezza house was a mix of good and average

The place does not look like much, but I would have to say that they serve the best Levant food I've had. The other famous ones in Dubai -- Karama and Al Nafoorah -- I found them lacking. Too much food, and not tasty. But Mezzahouse -- now they have the right balance. Everything was savory and in the right proportion. The music got loud at a certain moment, so we asked them to turn it down, and they did. Good service. The food was memorable for its quality..
