I remember the first time I ate at Shogun. It was when we celebrated the 2nd year anniversary of my brother and sister in law. We want something different from the usual restaurants where we used to dine. And finally, we saw Shogun when we are walking along Al Ghurair.
We head up to the building of Shogun , found the restaurant and sat there. I looked around and feed my eyes. I am really fascinated with Korean/Japanese ambiance. I loved the place
The first thing I asked the staff was " Do you have Sukiyaki?" as it is my favorite even when I am in the Philippines. Glad to hear they have it! :)
My brother ordered Shrimp Tempura and Calamari, then my sister in law had Chicken Katsu and the noodles.
They gave us a welcome appetizer. It was 4 different delicious appetizers. Its like eggplant, beansprout and some more delectable Korean appetizer. By the way, the staffs who served us were all nice. Attentive and can easily explain to you what was on their menu.
Going back to the food, to our surprise, they have a very big servings! And we thought that we could not finished it but we're wrong. We ate all of the food! I shared my Sukiyaki with my brother (as it is his favorite as well), and we shared all the together. I enjoyed my Sukiyaki mot unlike other sukiyaki that I had before, the meat is like a chewing gum. Even the other dishes were all yummy! I wasn't able to order drinks anymore, but water, because we were really are so full. It's like we already ate our food for the next day. :)
I would highly recommend Shogun to everyone who want to experience a real Korean/Japanese cuisine and hospitality.
It is located in Al Ghurair Center Residences,
