The place is so apt for a quick bite or amazing chaats. The food is light on stomach, and so very flavourful at the same time. I tried their dahi bhalla chaat, which could be better with a little less tamarind chutney. The aloo tikki chaat was fab, topped with green chutney, crispy on the outside. For mains I would recomend the kulcha combo which is so filling, comes with dal, raita and kukcha. For desserts, the Bikanerwala special and very famous Indrani cup is a must must try. Gulab jamun was a hit and miss.

Heard a lot about the Raj kachori [costs AED 14] at Bikanerwala. We actually were going to head to Raju Omlet but seeing the crowd we decided to go here instead since it was right opposite. It was pretty average to be honest and I only say this based on the number of chaats I've eaten over the course of my life. The Raj Kachori for those of you who don't know is a big puri stuffed with vada, chutneys, yoghurt, sev, and garnished with grated beetroot on the top. There was also a chiwda mixture at the bottom. The flavours did get a bit overwhelming but overall it was an average dish. The chikoo milkshake which we ordered for AED 14 is a big No- firstly it took forever to be made and secondly it had a strong taste of yoghurt mixed into it why would you call it a milkshake then might as well call it a lassi.

North meets South fairytale is what impression you get when you look at the menu board. The restaurant interior decor is well done. But you don't find the waiters at your table - its a typical food court style where you pay at the counter and he issues coupons which you take to different counters. The food is reasonably priced. But not much a fairytale for South as the Masala Dosa we ordered was not up to the mark. However, North Indian pav bhaji was good.

Beware, the toilet/washroom is common for gents and ladies. There were two doors with no markings. One was locked so it was just one place left. As you walk to the hand wash area, you can see a urinal to your right. So ladies beware, just in case....

This is a branch of a pretty big and famous chain of sweet shops from India. They've also diversed into the arena of Indian fast food and North-Indian thalis.
Their range of Indian sweets is pretty exhaustive, and besides the excellent taste, are freshly prepared and attractively displayed. Their chaat corner is my favorite attraction, where there raj kachori is simply divine. I did not enjoy their thali, though it seems to be quite popular with their regular clientele.
