Wild Ginger offers a unique blend of Asian flavours in a contemporary and stylish setting, providing a perfect culinary oasis for shoppers at Iconic. As part of Dubai’s hippest fashion store, Wild Ginger is ideally placed to allow customers to switch from shopping to dining, and vice versa, without even having to leave the building – meaning less stress and more enjoyment!

Wild Ginger provides a fresh approach to casual dining, with its modern look, using a mix of orange and green colours coupled with high ceilings, and a unique “floating bridge” entrance from Iconic.

The competitively priced menu offers a range of favourite dishes from Thailand, Japan, Vietnam and China.

Located in Iconic at Deira City Centre, Wild ginger is a cozy yet impressive restaurant. We began our lunch with edamame, chicken dim sum, papaya salad, wasabi prawns and sushi accompanied with some of their refreshing mocktails.

The wasabi prawns were exquisite, sushi was perfect and delicious and the papaya salad was sweet and tangy (they are happy to make it as spicy as you would like it to be). They have a nice variety of different salads and soups as well.

The highlight of Wild ginger is the sizzling stir-fry of vegetables, chicken, beef or seafood with a selection of medium to spicy sauces which is served on a sizzling platter. You choose your own sauces and ingredients and make your own sizzler.

For the main course, we ordered the Grapraw Gai (minced chicken with basil and chilli), garlic fried rice and the pad thai noodles. The basil chicken is a MUST TRY!! and is complimented well with the garlic fried rice. The waitress who took our order recommended the thai curry but we were too full to eat anything else and were saving some space for desert.

For dessert, we tried Melting moment-Chocolate cake with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. The cake was moist and gooey with a twist of coconut flavor (very slight, which I am sure can be without if needed). The staff is helpful and very warm, friendly and welcoming.

Wild ginger is a good mix of Asian cuisine and I would definitely recommend it! If you are shopping in the mall and get hungry this is where you should eat or if you are going out with family or friends this is the place to be!!
