Restaurant Description
Founded in 1980 by Bill and T.J. Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia as T.J. Applebee’s Rx for Edibles & Elixirs. The décor had the feel of an old drug store (hence the "RX" meaning prescriptions). There was a large stained glass piece consisting of hot air balloons made and placed in the back of the restaurant.

The original menu had chicken fingers, fried mushrooms, steak fries, onion rings, nachos, potato skins three different ways, burgers, soups, Salads, even quiche made fresh every day.

Renamed Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in 1985 to reflect Palmers’ original concept of a place people could call their own.

Absolutely love this place! My friends and I visit this place quite often. What we love about this place is the staff, ambience and food. Service tends to be a bit slow.

They serve massive burgers here, which is nearly impossible to fit in your mouth, unless you have the appetite of a monster. I usually end up making a mess on my plate.

Our usual order is their Texas, Tuscan & Cowboy burger. Their patties are so juicy and cooked to perfection. I just wish they introduced spicy flavors for Desi people like me.

Their lunch deals are pretty good too and definitely worth it!

Service is friendly and the menu offers a variety of dishes ranging from traditional burgers, pieces of meat or chicken, pasta, etc. .. My choice fell on "Chicken Finger Platter", tender pieces of chicken breaded, with a honey mustard sauce and fries. The chicken was well cooked and hot, perfect with the sauce proposed.

Correct standards, nothing more. Good situation, I probably would to try something else.

Lack of manpower, service is poor, arrogant staff! We were on
a long table of 14 pax to celebrate the graduation of my Godchild and most of our guests are first time diners but swears never to come back again!

Food was quite ok. My steak was perfect but my friends (ordered medium) was rare and inedible. The servers were rarely around though there were hand full of customers - they didnt bother changing it! it was quite a frustrating visit and wouldn't want to visit it ever again.

Love their steak!!! All courses are on a HUGE meal. You can even share with a friend or two! I just don't like the way one of their servers asked me if I really want my steak to be medium rare. Hellooooo!!! It's my prerogative if i want my steak to be bloody or tough!!!

Applebee's - I usaully love this place as it is close by from where i stay. The service is great and the food is too. However apon my last visit i ordered a take away and i was really dissappointed. I had the crispy prawns with seasoned fries and colslaw. There were no condiments - salt, pepper, ketchup, tissues. And to top it all off the prawns were more batter than anything else - hence i only had 2 pieces and ended up cooking. Never the less i love Applebee's the service is really outstanding and the food is generally good.

I really like their food. especially their 'platter' with quesadillas and nachos etc. the burger are good too. reeeally nice deserts too!! Easy place to go to if you have something set in mind like I always go to have the 'platter'. I've gone there a few times.
